The sound Recorder application can be quite handy, but the sound quality doesn’t default to high. To change this, open the application by going to Applications – Office – Recorder. Then press Options – Settings – Recording quality and choose High

If you regularly scan an area which has unwanted WiFi hotspots, you can filter them out of scans. Go to Menu – Settings – Connectivity – WLAN – Filter WLANs. Then select the ones you don’t want

The phone has a motion sensor that can be used for three great actions:
To silence calls – turn the phone face down
To snooze your alarm – turn the phone face down
To rotate the display – turn the phone from portrait to landscape
To change these settings, go to Menu – Settings – Phone – Sensor Settings. Change the Sensors field to On. Then press on Turning control and you can enable / disable each of the three above

Simply press on the Clock in the notifications bar to change the Clock or Alarm settings

Hold down the 1* key on your keyboard to get special characters like accents

If you want to switch between USB modes without unplugging your cable, simply press on the battery icon in the top notification bar and change it from there

If your keyboard is open, but the screen is locked, you can wake it up by pressing any key on the keyboard

You can have a different wallpaper on each home screen. To change these, press Options – Edit home screen. Then choose Options – Change wallpaper. Press Image to set your own home screen. You will be then taken to your Gallery to select an image

There are two ways to do this:
Press and hold the menu key for a second or so
Press Options, then Show open applications

If you want to quicklly create a calendar entry, then go into the Calendar app. Find the desired date and start typing the calendar entry. A new entry will instantly be created
