Nokia E6 Tips and Tricks

First, you need to have call waiting activated on your phone.

Then, get the first person on a call and ask them to hold for a minute and select Contacts. Find the second person you would like to call. Press their name and select Voice call.

This will put the first person on hold and you will be talking to the second person. Once that is done, simply press the Conference call icon on the screen and you will be talking to both people.

This can be repeated up to a maximum of 6 people

There are three ways to zoom in your camera application:
Press the volume keys to zoom in and out
Double tap on the screen
Pinch your fingers to switch aspect rations between 4:3 and 16:9

Hold down the power button for around 8 seconds and the phone will turn off

Warning: This will erase ALL data on your phone (although not memory card)

To reset your phone, try the methods below in the following order:

1) With the phone on, Go to Menu – Settings – Phone – Phone Management – Factory Settings – Delete data and restore.

2) With the phone on, go to the Call Application and enter this code: *#7370#

If these don’t work, then turn the phone off, remove the SIM card and remove the battery for 30 seconds. Then put the battery back in, but leave the SIM card out.

3) With the phone off, hold down the Shift + Space + Backspace keys. While holding them down, press the Power button to turn the phone on. Keep holding down the Shift + Space + Backspace until the Nokia logo appears. This should enter factory reset mode.

4) With the phone off, hold down the * + 3 + Call keys. While holding them down, press the Power button to turn the phone on. Keep holding down the * + 3 + Call keys until the Nokia logo appears.

If applications are installed on the external memory card, there is a way to safely close them and allow the card to be removed. Press the Power button once and then choose Remove F: memory

Simply swipe your finger to the left or right to jump between days

If you like to see how long your calls are taking, you can turn this feature on. Go to Menu – Settings – Calling – Call. Then enable Show call duration

If you want to see the duration after the call, go to Menu – Settings – Call. Then enable Summary after call

If you are abroad you may incur high data charges if your phone connects to the internet. To stop your widgets from accessing the internet in the background, go to the Home screen and press Options. Then select Widgets to offline mode. This is also a good idea if you are running low on battery

If you alarm is ringing but you want a few more minutes of sleep, simply turn the phone face down

If you are worried about someone using your phone, you can assign a lock code. Go to Menu – Settings – Phone – Phone management – Security settings – Phone and SIM card. Then change the value in Lock code. It needs to be a number.

Then, to lock your phone, press the Power button and choose Lock phone from the menu
