If you would like to turn on text message notifications (delivery reports for SMSs) then go to Settings – Applications – Messaging and change it there

In the Maps application, you can share any location with a friend. First you need to find your location. Open Maps, then find your location. Press and hold to drop a Pin on that location. You can drag the Pin to get a more precise location.

Then press the Pin and select Share. Then choose to share via SMS or Email.

To skip to the next track in a playlist, press the Track list below the album cover. This will let you move through the playlist

To send an MMS, simply start typing a text message and press the Attach icon to attach a picture

To edit a photo after you have taken it, navigate to your chosen image and press the symbol that looks like three full stops in the bottom right corner. From here, select Edit.

You will now be presented with a number of options such as Crop, Rotate, Auto-fix and Creative Studio.

If you are listening to music and want to see the Artist’s album art on your lock screen there is a feature for this. Go to Start – Applications list – Settings – Lock + wallpaper. Then turn on Show artist art when playing music.

To turn your phone into a WiFi hotspot, then follow these instructions:

First, go to your Start screen and swipe left and go to Settings.

Then select Internet sharing and turn Sharing on.

From here you can name your connection by selecting Setup – Broadcast name and entering a name.

You can also secure your WiFi hotspot but adding a password for the connection.

Next, go to another device and find your phone’s WiFi hotspot service.

Note: This will use your data plan, so use wisely!

To put your phone in flight mode, or offline mode, go to Start – Applications list – Settings. Then press Flight mode.

To clear your browsing history so that no one can see which websites you have been browsing, go to Settings – Applications – Search.

Then select Delete History

To save or share pictures on websites, then find a picture you want to share/save.

Then press and hold on the image.

An option to share or save will appear.
