How to turn off predictive text

If you would prefer to correct your own mistakes, then go to Settings – My device – Language and input.

Then select the keyboard you are using and press the Settings icon again.

You should be able to find a predictive text option on this screen.

    I did this but it continues to turn itself back on again. Do I keep having to turn it off every time I want to type something? How do you permanently turn it off?

    Mine is also turning back on all the time. Did you get any answer to this irritating feature?

    Turn the predictive text off, then switch the phone off straight after, then switch back phone back on and this should resolve the problem
