There is a very easy way to transfer your contacts, calendar events, bookmarks, messages etc from your old phone.

First you need to get both devices and turn Bluetooth on. Then on your N8, go to Menu – Settings – Phone switch. Then select the middle icon (receive data). Then press Continue and find your old phone in the list of Bluetooth devices. When it asks for a passcode, just type in anything (for example 1234) and press Ok.

Then go to the old phone and type in the same Passcode.

On your N8 you will be given some options of what data you would like to receive. Select the data types you want, and press Ok.

On your old phone you should be asked if you want to Allow synchronisation, so select Yes. Your data transfer should begin. Be patient as it may take awhile depending on how much data you want to transfer
