Losing your phone or having it stolen is everyone’s worst nightmare, but Windows Phone comes with a feature called Find My Phone.

To set this feature up, go to Settings – Find My Phone. Once setup you can use this system to send Apps, Lock, Ring, or Erase from your phone by going to WindowsPhone.com. You can also use it to push the phone’s location so you can try to locate it.

To fast forward or rewind a song while playing, you need to look for two circle buttons with arrows in them.

These are used to play the previous / next tracks.

If you Press and Hold them however, you can fast forward or rewind the track.

While dragging the cursor along the letters, pull your finger down. The cursor will move along, but you will be able to see it as your finger will be out of the way

A neat feature is the idea of Rooms, which allow other Windows Phone users to share pictures, chat, make appointments and so on.

First, go to the People Hub and the word ‘together’ should appear. From here press the ‘+’ key at the bottom and then choose Room. Then choose a name and press the save button (floppy disc symbol) at the bottom.

Next, you can press the ‘+’ at the bottom and add people to the room, just like you would navigate your Contact list.

When you’ve added everyone you want to include, press the Tick symbol and your contacts will now be told about the new Room (assuming they have a Windows Phone).

If you prefer not to have the ‘Sent from my Windows Phone’ message at the bottom of emails, then here is how to remove it:

This is useful if you don’t want people to know that emails are being sent from your phone.

A great feature of recent Windows Phone versions is what’s called Storage Sense which can help you manage your phone and SD card storage.

If your device does have expandable storage and you have an SD card, then Storage Sense helps you move photos, music and Apps from your phone storage to your SD card.

You can also use it to see which content or which Apps are consuming the most storage space. From here you can either delete or uninstall the offenders.
