While in the Music player, you can enable Replay mode. Just open a Song, then press on the Album. A Replay symbol should then appear.

To find an address on maps, then go to a location by panning and zooming.

Then Press and Hold on a location to drop a pin.

This will give you the address of the location you have selected.

A neat feature is the idea of Rooms, which allow other Windows Phone users to share pictures, chat, make appointments and so on.

First, go to the People Hub and the word ‘together’ should appear. From here press the ‘+’ key at the bottom and then choose Room. Then choose a name and press the save button (floppy disc symbol) at the bottom.

Next, you can press the ‘+’ at the bottom and add people to the room, just like you would navigate your Contact list.

When you’ve added everyone you want to include, press the Tick symbol and your contacts will now be told about the new Room (assuming they have a Windows Phone).

To disable the mobile version of websites, go to Settings – Applications – Internet Explorer and change it there.

This is useful if you get annoyed by websites automatically serving you mobile versions of their site. By following the steps above, you can tell the phone browser to act as a standard browser for each website that you browse.

There is a way to filter your contact lists, however by default your Contacts list will show all Contacts for the various accounts you have setup on your phone. This list may include Facebook and Twitter and the list can become quite long.

To filter your contacts, go to Start, then flick left to the Applications list. Then press Settings – Applications – People. Then select Filter your contact list. Then choose the accounts you want displayed on your Contacts list.

To fast forward or rewind a song while playing, you need to look for two circle buttons with arrows in them.

These are used to play the previous / next tracks.

If you Press and Hold them however, you can fast forward or rewind the track.

To pair your phone with Bluetooth speakers or a headset via Bluetooth, then start from the homescreen and scroll to the right.

Then choose Settings – Bluetooth. Then slide the Bluetooth to On. The phone will then scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. It may ask for a password for the device. Try entering 0000 or 1234.

Please note that this may not work for all devices.

Before you can pay for goods, your phone must first support NFC and this should be enabled.

To enable, go to Settings – Tap+Share. You will then need to enter your payment details within the Wallet App. You can do this by pressing the + symbol inside this App. You will also need to do this step if you ever want to pay for an App or Song/

Once they have been setup, then check with the shopkeeper that they support NFC. If they do, then simply swipe the phone over their terminal and your bank or PayPal account will be charged. Great to avoid getting out your credit card and mucking around with PINs.

If you want to change the text (or font) on your phone, then go to Settings – Ease of Access.

From here you can move a horizontal bar to change the font size. You will also see some other accessibility options like high contrast and TTY/TDD.

A handy feature is to automatically backup your photos to Skydrive. To enable this feature, go to Settings – Pictures & camera. Change Auto Upload to On
