If you like to use vibration mode but you don’t want to disrupt a whole room due to the Motorola Moto G6 Play vibration intensity, you can adjust or reduce that accordingly. Just follow the steps below on your phone:

  1. From your home screen, swipe down to open the notifications menu.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon (usually a gear-shaped one at the top-right portion).
  3. Scroll to Device then tap “Sound” or “Sounds and notifications” or “Sound & Vibration.”
  4. Under Sound, tap “Vibrations” or “Vibration Intensity.”
  5. A bar will appear where you can slide left or right to adjust the intensity of your phone’s vibration. On some phones, users can select from either Light, Medium, or Strong.
  6. Tap “OK.” This will automatically save your preference.

This generally works for the Motorola Moto G6 Play and most Android phones.

For Huawei users, you may need to follow a slightly different method. If you use a Huawei unit, follow the instructions below instead:

  1. From the home screen, tap up to locate Settings.
  2. Then tap Settings → Strength
  3. Swipe up or down to adjust the vibration intensity. That’s from Strong, Soft, or None.
  4. Tap “OK.”
  5. You will be automatically reverted to the home screen. Don’t worry, your preferred vibration intensity is saved at this point.

If you would prefer not to be told every time an Application has been updated, open the Play Store and swipe from left to right. Then select Settings and untick the Notifications options.

If you want to conserve battery life, you can turn off the WiFi while the phone is asleep.

Pull down the notifications screen. Then long press on the WiFi icon. Then press the Menu or More button and select Keep WiFi on during sleep.

With the recent versions of Android you can now take photos while recording video by simply pressing the screen.

This will save that particular frame to the gallery while continuing to record video.

To quickly hide the on-screen keyboard, press the Back button or simply tap on any empty space on screen.

By default, your phone will recognise swear words, but insert x’s instead of the word. To change this, go to Settings – System – Language and input – Virtual Keyboard- Google Voice Typing

Then you may need to select your voice input system. Then toggle the Block offensive words option.

To add a widget, simply long press on a blank part of one of your homescreens. Then select Widget. Scroll through the list of available widgets and choose one. It will be placed on your homescreen and you can move it around as you desire.

If you have a frield, child, or family member who frequently borrows your phone, but you want to make sure that your personal settings and apps don’t get messed up, using Guest Mode on your Motorola Moto G6 Play is the best solution.

Now not all phone models have a Guest Mode feature, but if your Motorola Moto G6 Play model has this, just follow the steps below to activate it:

  1. On the home screen, swipe down using two fingers.
  2. Look for the User icon (usually located at the top-right portion of the screen).
  3. Tap “Add Guest.”
  4. Fill in the form and follow other instructions to set up the Guest Mode profile.
  5. You may also tweak the settings of each profile by tapping on the Guest or User profile. This includes access to contacts, making calls, sending messages, and even access to images and other files.
  6. Just tap on a Guest/User name to use that mode. If you want to exit Guest Mode, just tap on your main user profile or remove the guest account entirely.

This method generally works for Android phone users. However, certain brands may have different variations in setting up the Guest profile. For Huawei phone users, you can add up to 3 guest user accounts.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Accounts → Users
  2. Tap “Add User” then start setting up the User Profile.
  3. Alternatively, you can tap “Add Guest” instead. From there, you can also set up the Guest profile.

You can manually set up the settings and allowable activities per user or guest. Just tap on a guest/user profile and tick certain boxes of which they may be allowed to do. This includes making calls, sending messages, and sharing contact records.

If you are not happy with your notification light, then you can change and tweak it. Go to the Play Store and download an App called Light Flow.

You might need to enable the notification light before the App works. Go to Settings – Device – Sounds and notifications – LED Indicator.

Alternatively, for some devices, you can turn?your Notification Light ‘ON or OFF’ and you can also change the color of Notification Light. For that go to Settings – Display and then toggle pulse notification icon. You can change the color of LED light from same menu.

If you have forgotten your custom unlock pattern, then don’t panic.

After 5 unsuccessful tries a button should appear saying ‘Forgot pattern’. Press this and you will be asked to enter your Gmail username/password.

The phone will then ask for a new unlock pattern. If you don’t have a Gmail account, then you might have to either call your carrier or factory reset your phone.
