The fast and easy way to change the wallpaper on the Huawei Mate 20 Lite is to tap and hold on a blank space on your home screen and then tap “Wallpapers.”
From there, you can choose any image from your gallery or from a preset selection of live wallpapers from your device.
You may also go directly to your Huawei Mate 20 Lite Gallery then open an image of your choice. Once you open the image, select “More” to look for the “Set as Wallpaper” option.
You can also change your wallpaper from the Settings menu on your phone. Just follow these steps:
- Swipe up or unlock your home screen to display all apps.
- Look for the Settings icon, tap and then look for “Display.” For some phones, you might want to look for “Home Screen” or “Wallpaper” right away.
- Next, tap “Wallpaper” and select which folder or file you want to use.
- Find your desired image and tap “Set Wallpaper.”
You can always use your own image as a wallpaper. However, most phones also have a preset selection of wallpapers (or live images) that can be used anytime too.
You may also choose different images each for your wallpaper and lock screen. However, you may also use just one image for both.
From the Contact list or the Messaging list, swipe from Left to Right to call a Contact.
This might not work on all models.
To open a web page in a new tab, find a link on a web page. Then press on it and then choose to open the site in a new tab.
If you are not happy with your notification light, then you can change and tweak it. Go to the Play Store and download an App called Light Flow.
You might need to enable the notification light before the App works. Go to Settings – Device – Sounds and notifications – LED Indicator.
Alternatively, for some devices, you can turn?your Notification Light ‘ON or OFF’ and you can also change the color of Notification Light. For that go to Settings – Display and then toggle pulse notification icon. You can change the color of LED light from same menu.
To change your default font, go to Settings – Device – Display – Font. You can also change the font size here also.
Another option is to install the popular Go Launcher EX App. Then once this is installed, download their GoLauncher Fonts App.
To add a widget, simply long press on a blank part of one of your homescreens. Then select Widget. Scroll through the list of available widgets and choose one. It will be placed on your homescreen and you can move it around as you desire.
To change keyboards (if you have additional keyboards installed), you can switch between them by pressing the small keyboard symbol in the top left of your screen. You will need to be in keyboard input mode (i.e. typing something) for this to work.
Alternately you can add and remove key board from settings also.
For that go to Settings – Languages and Input and then tap on Virtual Keyboard.
Now you can add and remove keyboards from this menu.
Note: you need to have more than one keyboard installed for this to work.
If you like to use vibration mode but you don’t want to disrupt a whole room due to the Huawei Mate 20 Lite vibration intensity, you can adjust or reduce that accordingly. Just follow the steps below on your phone:
- From your home screen, swipe down to open the notifications menu.
- Tap on the Settings icon (usually a gear-shaped one at the top-right portion).
- Scroll to Device then tap “Sound” or “Sounds and notifications” or “Sound & Vibration.”
- Under Sound, tap “Vibrations” or “Vibration Intensity.”
- A bar will appear where you can slide left or right to adjust the intensity of your phone’s vibration. On some phones, users can select from either Light, Medium, or Strong.
- Tap “OK.” This will automatically save your preference.
This generally works for the Huawei Mate 20 Lite and most Android phones.
For Huawei users, you may need to follow a slightly different method. If you use a Huawei unit, follow the instructions below instead:
- From the home screen, tap up to locate Settings.
- Then tap Settings → Strength
- Swipe up or down to adjust the vibration intensity. That’s from Strong, Soft, or None.
- Tap “OK.”
- You will be automatically reverted to the home screen. Don’t worry, your preferred vibration intensity is saved at this point.
If you tend to run out of battery power quickly, then you can turn on Power saving mode.
Pull down the notification screen by swiping your finger from the top of the phone. Then select Power Saving. You may need to scroll along the available icons.
You can also select to turn on Battery saver automatically, once battery reaches at certain level. To enable this, go to Settings – Battery – Battery saver, and then turn Automatic Battery Saver on.
To quickly hide the on-screen keyboard, press the Back button or simply tap on any empty space on screen.
