If you are looking at your photos you need to be zoomed out before you can swipe left or right to go to the next photo. If you are zoomed in, swiping left or right will simply pan around the photo

While entering a website address you can Press and Hold the .com key on the keyboard. This will give you the option of other domain suffixes (eg .org, .co.uk, .com.au etc)

To get accents while typing in non-English languages, just Press and Hold the appropriate character. For example if you want the French a with an accent, press and hold the a button.

If the volume of your friends’ posts, comments and tweets becomes too much, you can filter them.

Go to Start, then flick left to the Applications list. Then press Settings – Applications – People. Then select Only show posts from people visible on my contact list.

Alternatively, you can go to Start – People. Then flick to What’s new – All accounts. Then select the account you want to view posts from.

To share a website with a friend, then browse to the website you want to share.

Then Press and Hold on a hyperlink, then select Share. You can then choose how to share the site.

To send an MMS, simply start typing a text message and press the Attach icon to attach a picture

To turn on Caps lock, double press the Shift key.

To turn it off, simply double tap Shift again to disable.

To remove a call from the call history, locate the number you want to remove from the call log.

Then press and Hold on the number and select Delete

Before you can pay for goods, your phone must first support NFC and this should be enabled.

To enable, go to Settings – Tap+Share. You will then need to enter your payment details within the Wallet App. You can do this by pressing the + symbol inside this App. You will also need to do this step if you ever want to pay for an App or Song/

Once they have been setup, then check with the shopkeeper that they support NFC. If they do, then simply swipe the phone over their terminal and your bank or Paypal account will be charged. Great to avoid getting out your credit card and mucking around with PINs.

Instead of copying and pasting text you see on a website, you can highlight a word. Then press the Search button to search for the word on Bing
