Use your phone as a WiFi hostpot / tethering

To turn your phone into a WiFi hotspot, then follow these instructions:

First, go to your Start screen and swipe left and go to Settings.

Then select Internet sharing and turn Sharing on.

From here you can name your connection by selecting Setup – Broadcast name and entering a name.

You can also secure your WiFi hotspot but adding a password for the connection.

Next, go to another device and find your phone’s WiFi hotspot service.

Note: This will use your data plan, so use wisely!

Sorry, I cannot find the Internet Sharing option in the setting menu. I am using Huawei W1.

I find a tip on the internet to get this to work. You should reset your Phone (you loose all your settings). I tried, and the Internet sharing function came in the settings meny.

We have several w1 , but only one of them has the internet sharing option. Tried resetting to factory default and update. The one that Works has firmware 5614, the ones that dont has firmware 5611. Seems that the firmware update fails somehow…
